The pizza cutter is the most underrated component of from-scratch pizza making. You can form a perfectly round pizza, shimmy it onto your baking steel or stone with the grace of Misty Copeland, and finish it with the most artful scattering of basil leaves anyone has ever seen, but if your pizza cutter is sub-par, you'll ruin the presentation in one dull, wobbly swoop. No matter how you slice it (see what I did there?!), the pizza cutter is one of the most important tools in your pizza kitchen. Click on the video below for a demonstration of the three main types of cutters, pros and cons of each, and other thoughts to help you choose the best one for you.
Here are my three favorite models, in case you want to do some shopping:

Do you have a favorite pizza cutter that you think I should know about? Are there burning pizza cutter–related questions left unanswered by my video? Would you like me to cover/review another topic or pizza-related product in future videos? Please leave a comment below!
*Full disclosure: Pizzacraft sent me a free pizza cutter back in January when I first thought about doing this video, but I promise my opinions here are all my own.
