Homemade Pizza Sauce Recipes
I will never shame you for buying pre-made pizza sauce, but I promise that you will taste the difference when you make your own.
Start with my no-cook marinara sauce, which takes five measly minutes to make and is my go-to for Margheritas and most other red sauce pizzas. If you have more time or like a sweeter, richer sauce (like the ones you get at New York pizzerias), this cooked-down tomato sauce is guaranteed to please. And then, while we're in the red sauce category, do yourself a favor and try my BBQ pizza sauce, which is a fan favorite for good reason.
In more of a green- or white-sauce mood? This is my favorite pesto recipe so far, and this zucchini pizza sauce is a revelation. As for white sauces, you can't go wrong with genius cream sauce or the herbed ricotta from my tomato and peach pizza.
